The numbers are staggering.

Online betting site Boylesports has Jermaine Sellers as the early favorite on this season’s American Idol, with 7:1 odds. Right now, only four of this year’s contestants have odds better than 20:1 — Jermaine, Janell Wheeler, Katie Stevens and Maddy Curtis.

MANCHESTER — The company that manages Connecticut off-track betting on horse and dog races and jai-alai games is interested in opening shop in Manchester and is looking at Shea’s American Bar & Grill as a site, officials close to the situation say.
